Yes, we highly recommend that you make an appointment before coming to White Lotus Salon. Booking an appointment ahead of time allows us to better prepare for your service. We do accept walk-in customers, however clients who have appointments will be first priority. Texting to book your appointment is preferred.

We understand that life gets in the way sometimes and that you are not able to make your appointment. We request that you inform us at least 48 hours in advance so we can offer the service time to another customer. The best way to inform us is through text or calling.

It is important to us that you love your nails and that they feel right. We ask that customers let us know while your nail service is happening if you would like another shape. If you changed your mind a few days later, there may be a small fee to change the shape and will be treated as a separate service.

Artificial nails are quite popular due to the diverse designs and colors they come in. For some people who work with their hands a lot, they prefer artificial nails to protect the nail underneath. Ultimately it is up to the customer’s personal preference.

The only risk in a gel nail polish is the exposure of your nails under UV rays to cure it. We use LED lamps to cure gel polish so our customers will not be exposed to UV rays.

The gel nail polish usually lasts for up to 3-4 weeks without chipping. This decreases the amount of times you’ll have to come to the salon and saves you money long term.

Dip powder and acrylics might have similar polymers, but acrylic requires a monomer to activate and set the acrylic. Dip is activated with glazes and does not require a monomer to activate it. This also means that the dip powders are odorless and are a great alternative to acrylics. Dip powders are also thinner and work best on your natural nail and is a great way to strengthen your natural nail. Acrylic nails are still very popular and are used for longer nail applications to provide strength and durability.

Your cuticles are very important for the protection of your nails and nail beds. It is imperative to let a professional cater to your cuticles properly.

No, scraping your nail polish off can harm your nails and nail beds. We advise you to use a nail polish remover to remove it. In the case of gel manicure it is very important not scrape it off- especially with sharp tools as it can damage your nails considerably.

Gel nail polish and regular nail polish have a few differences. Regular nail polishes are like paint and dries quickly. However, gel nail polish requires curing or drying under a LED lamp. Gel polish lasts longer and resists chipping.

The gel nail polish removal requires professional help. Gel nail polish is best removed in a salon itself. Do not scratch or scrape your nail to remove the gel manicure because it can harm your nail bed. Although you can remove a gel nail polish at home too, it requires immense care and attention. Hence we recommend you to get it removed by a professional.
